Geranium essential oil helps balance the emotions, lift the spirit, and create a sense of peace and well-being. This oil is cultivated from a fragrant flower native to South Africa and obtained through a careful distillation process. It can be used aromatically and topically.

This is a key oil used in many emotional balancing blends like Joy and Harmony. Diffuse it to help uplift and inspire feelings of happiness. I like to call Geranium the poor man’s Rose since it works just the same and add it to my facial serum. It’s also amazing when you have an oopsie with a knife in the kitchen or any other of life’s little mishaps. It’s also like a poor man’s Helichrysum. Double bonus!

A few ways to use Geranium essential oil aromatically is to diffuse during a gathering to create a memorable, warming environment. You could also diffuse in the classroom to inspire creativity and create a pleasant, uplifting aroma.

Geranium essential oil is helpful when added to your moisturizer to maintain the appearance of healthy, youthful-looking skin. I like adding it to my skincare routine to help cleanse the skin. Another great way is to add it to your favorite shampoo to promote healthy, radiant-looking hair. When I add it to my shampoo, I like to add Lavender, Rosemary and Frankincense too. 

Geranium helps with removing chlorine from the body. I like to apply some Geranium to the bottom of the feet after I'm done taking a dip. Are you a dry brusher? Let me tell you the secret sauce to dry brushing… it is using Geranium on your skin before you brush!! Also ladies… your hormones will THANK YOU when you use this! I like to apply around my the ankles for happy hormones. 

DIY Air And Fabric Refresher Recipe

Combine 3-4 drops of Geranium with 1 cup of distilled water and 1 tsp of witch hazel in a glass spray bottle. Share before each use.

BONUS DIY! Healthy Daily Hair Spray Recipe

1/2 tsp salt
5 drops Thyme essential oil
15 drops Melrose essential oil
5 drops Geranium essential oil

Place salt in a 4 oz spray bottle. Add essential oils and fill with distilled water. Shake before each use.
