With the power that cleaning chemicals wield, we always want to practice caution and protect our precious little ones as well as the four-legged friends in our lives.  The same caution should be used even when cleaning with essential oils – pay close attention to the labels, interactions and be aware of possible sensitivities, such as around pets.  Lastly, it is usually recommended to use a glass spray bottle to store your DIY cleaners. If you don't have one on hand, Apple Cider Vinegar bottles work great with an average spray nozzle screwed on.

You can use essential oils alongside other natural cleaning products like bicarbonate of soda, Castile soap, and vinegar. Oils provide not only a fresh aroma, but also puts the elbow-grease behind the cleaning for you with their naturally derived plant-based ingredients.

Cleaning Around The House

The Kitchen: Make your own powerful citrus all-purpose cleaner with water, white vinegar, Tea Tree, Orange and Lemon.

The Floors: Add a few drops of Thieves into your mop bucket with hot water and a splash of vinegar. Your floors will feel cleaner than they have in ages.

The Shower: Lemon essential oil + vinegar in the shower removes hard water stains and unsightly mildew. Soak your shower head to efficiently get rid of build up too!

The Play Room: Combine a capful Thieves Household Cleaner and 3-4 cups of water. This natural alternative can be used on any surface in your play room for dusting, spot cleaning, removing stains or wiping down toys.
